Whats new in Malta?

Malta’s packed calendar of events and festivals means there’s always something new on the horizon…here’s the latest unmissable events:

After the success of the first two editions of the Lost & Found Festival, international DJ Annie Mac is heading up 2017’s event from 13th – 16th April. Boasting a top line-up of international DJs including Armand Van Heldon and Jamie Jones, this year’s festival includes pool-side venues, boat parties and all night raves; it promises to be the best yet.

2017 will see three opportunities to catch Malta’s world-renowned fireworks. The 16th edition of Malta’s Fireworks Festival showcases Malta’s fireworks expertise in an awe-inspiring display of pyrotechnic wizardry. Taking place on 22nd April in Gozo, then at Marsaxlokk on Friday 28th April, the festival culminates in a grand finale in Valletta’s stunning Grand Harbour on April 30th.

Malta’s 12th International Arts Festival returns on 23rd June until 15th July. This annual celebration of classic and contemporary arts, theatre, music, dance and poetry is always hugely popular, and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Fans of modern music will love Isle of MTV Malta on June 27th, headlined by Grammy winners, Chainsmokers. Supported by an all-star line-up of international artists performing in front of a crowd of thousands in Floriana, Malta’s Isle of MTV is totally free.
